Leigh v Northern
Leigh ran into trouble against Northern's in-form duo of Carl Hey and former Leigh player Steve Mullaney as they went down to another large defeat.
Hey and Mullaney, who had both already scored two centuries since the start of the season, were in irrepressible form as they took advantage of perfect batting conditions with a 219 run partnership for the second wicket.
After Cole was caught behind off Greg Jennings for a duck, they took the Leigh bowling apart with Hey scoring 113 and Lancashire's Mullaney 118 off 81 balls after progressing from 50 to 100 in just 18 deliveries.
