Article: Rhode Island Economic Indicators Decline at End of '95.(Originated from Providence Journal-Bulletin, R.I.)

Feb. 27--A state index of leading economic indicators was down in the last three months of 1995, the fifth consecutive quarter it has declined, adding to the list of forecasts that predict Rhode Island's economy will continue to languish in 1996.

The University of Rhode Island/Providence Journal Index of Leading Indicators, dropped a slight .09 percent in the fourth quarter compared to the third quarter of last year.

On a year-to-year basis, the index was off 2.16 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 1994.
