ANTRIM's councillors have called for the commemorative foundation stone set in the walls of the new Civic Centre to be moved to a more appropriate location.

The stone currently sits to the left of the front entrance, set inside a solid concrete wall.

Concerns were raised last week that the stone was not visible to visitors to the Centre, as it sat behind a towering pillar.

Ulster Unionist Adrian Watson raised the issue. He said: "This has been on my mind for quite some time. I think it is very disappointing where we have put it. I don't know where we could move it to, but it is currently in a terrible position.
