THERE are concerns that some artefacts dating back to the Battle of Antrim could have perished in the fire at Clotworthy Arts Centre last week.
The blaze completely destroyed the long barn building at the historic site.
At approximately 3.30am last Thursday a fire broke out at the barn which used by community arts projects and for additional accommodation to the main Arts Centre.
DUP councillor John Smyth said it was fortunate that no one was hurt in the blaze, but questioned whether some Battle of Antrim murals could have gone up in smoke.
Culture and art expert Danny Kinahan said no one knew exactly what was in the long barn.
