Article: YEMEN - Part 2 - The Fields & Exports.

Yemen's oil and condensate output in 2008 is to average 300,000 b/d, down from 531,100 b/d in the first half of 2002. Oil and Mineral Resources Minister Khaled Mahfoudh Baha' says production will rise to 500,000 b/d from early in the next decade. The increase would come from new E&P blocks being awarded as well as improved output at existing fields.

Yemen's crude oil exports average 180,000 b/d, down from more than 430,000 b/d in the first half of 2002. The export figure is the net balance of the trade in crude oil as the country imports some grades for processing by its two refineries.
