Rody Kemple, telecom manager at Benjamin Moore, a Montvale, N.J.-based paint manufacturer, characterizes his enterprise's maintenance contract with Avaya as a ransom note: "Pay this much if you ever want to see your phone system working again."
Kemple is not alone. While Avaya gets rave reviews for many aspects of its product, the PBX manufacturer's approach to maintenance and service appears to be its biggest blemish among many communications technology professionals, Voice Report finds in its latest research.
