Kevin Garnett will win an NBA title and the U.S. Open on the same day. Ron Paul will be elected president with Oprah as his running mate. On Father's Day, I will engage my teenage daughter in a deep discussion of the Jonas Brothers and take my wife to see "Sex And The City." Again. In other words, anything can happen. Case in point: the Coon Rapids High School baseball team. Or as we call the Cardinals after Friday's Class 3A title game at Midway Stadium in St. Paul: state champs.
Never give up. That's the lesson we learned from Coon Rapids, which rolled to a 6-1 victory over Bloomington Jefferson.
