Bloomington Jefferson coach Jim Gess made no excuses after the Jaguars lost to Coon Rapids 6-1 in Friday's Class 3A title game. Coon Rapids played a nearly flawless game, getting 10 hits, committing no errors until the final inning and riding the strong pitching performance of Ryan Hable.
"He threw first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance a little with his curveball," Gess said. "And we some balls right at them. But give them all the credit in the world. They played very well, they made good plays in the field and their pitcher threw strikes."
