The Run to Africa Challenge was launched this week by a host of former World, European and Olympic champions hoping to raise money for the Playing for Life charity by taking part in a virtual run from Dublin to Ethiopia, a distance of 9,500km.
Tracy Piggott, founder of the Playing for Life Charity, was joined by Irish Olympian Joanne Cuddihy, John Treacy, Catherina McKiernan, Eamonn Coghlan and Cork ladies football captain, Angela Walsh, to launch the Challenge at the National Aquatic Centre Gym in Abbotstown.
The Run to Africa takes place on the weekend of October 3, and will see two treadmills placed in 25 Tesco Ireland stores across the country. The ...
