Vista SP1 is safe to load. If you have been using Windows Update there is no need to download the 545MB Service Pack 1 as it should have trickled through to you over time. It does bring together all the released patches and is what the corporate community wants. It should make Vista even more stable and reliable. This service pack supports both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vista. Note: it will only install on a genuine version of Vista and you should uninstall or disable your anti-virus and malware programs before installing it.
