AN ITALIAN coach has been appointed by Lancaster City Water Polo team in a bid to regain the National League they lost last season.
Bristol edged out Lancaster by a point, ending Lancaster's five-year reign as champions.
Now Lancaster are hoping that the presence of Alberto Bertolotti on the poolside will make the difference and enable them to be number one again and claim their 10th championship in 13 years.
Lancaster have operated without a poolside coach for a number of seasons but have recruited Bertolotti from Italian club Savonna in Milan.
