VETERAN Aran Stanton was a comfortable winner in Matlock Cycling Club's Grouse 10 Open last week.
The VC St Raphael rider crossed the line in 21 minutes and 36 seconds, 15 seconds quicker than Rutland's Marc Mallender, with Nottingham Clarion rider Darren Buckby a further 20 seconds behind.
First lady was another veteran, Long Eaton's Jill Brown, 45th overall in a field of 61 in a time of 28.24, 24 seconds up on team mate Gill Henshaw.
The fastest Matlock rider was Richard Cordin, fifth in 22.24, just two seconds quicker than club mate Peter Colledge.
Chris Green was 11th in 22.47 to wrap up the team prize for Matlock.
