LEADERS from the world of politics and religion are urging children in Sheffield to start saving.
Respected figures - including former Labour Home Secretary David Blunkett and the Reverend Jack Nicholls, Bishop of Sheffield - are backing a campaign by The Nottingham.
More than 36,000 children in Sheffield face a bleak financial future with little or no money set aside, according to research by The Nottingham.
They are urging youngsters and parents to start saving to help cover the cost of education, a first home or special events like their wedding day.
