Patient Grissil and Jonsonian Satire.(Ben Jonson)(Critical essay)

It has long been recognized that a sequence in III.ii of Patient Grissil, written by Thomas Dekker, Henry Chettle, and William Haughton between October and December 1599 and apparently performed at the Rose the following January or February, strongly echoes IV.iii of Ben Jonson's Every Man Out of His Humour, first staged in late 1599 at the Globe.
