MOSCOW. June 20 (TCA Editions) - Russia is increasing its military presence in Central Asia in line with its commitments to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha told Interfax-AVN on June 5.
"Steps are being taken to increase the combat power and to modernize weaponry and military hardware of the Russian 201st military base in Tajikistan. There is a work plan to that effect, and the military hardware has been assigned," he said.
