FDA delayed implementing the Reportable Food Registry requirements of the FDA Amendments Act of 2007 (FDAAA). The agency is seeking comments on the Registry requirements, which must be submitted no later than Aug. 11. 2008, according to THE FOOD INSTITUTE counsel OLSSON, FRANK, WEEDA, TERMAN, BODE, MATZ PC.
Background
The FDAAA added a new section 417 to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, requiring FDA to establish a Reportable Food Registry no later than one year after the date of enactment.
