Angus Provost Bill Middleton confers honour
IN AN impressive ceremony in Forfar on Saturday, The Black Watch received the Freedom of Angus.
The event began at 11.15 a.m. in the grounds of Chapelpark Primary School where the representative colonel for The Black Watch, Lieutenant General Alistair Irwin KCB CBE, received the Freedom of Angus Scroll from Angus Provost Bill Middleton.
Provost Middleton said it was with great pleasure that he invited General Irwin and all members of The Black Watch to accept the Freedom of Angus.
