WILL this year signal the end of Ballymena's long and unsuccessful search for bowls' Holy Grail - the Irish Senior Cup?
Bryan Magrath, the Ballymena president, is cautiously optimistic about his team's chances of capturing the only silverware that has not adorned the Old Ballymoney Road trophy cabinet in the 103-year history of the club.
"Our form over the past 18 months has been very consistent and if the draw is favourable we can go all the way," said Magrath, as the Braid men prepare for what, on paper, should be a straightforward home victory against Comber in round two of the Sunday Life-sponsored competition.
