PHILADELPHIA _ About an hour into practice Thursday, Kobe Bryant put the ball on the floor, sliced toward the basket and then took off _ oh, from about the foul line _ and finished with a thunderous dunk.
``Ohhhhh!'' cried everyone, including his coach, Gregg Downer.
Downer walked toward the sideline smiling and shaking his head. ``Sometimes he does something like that,'' he said, ``and you have to be careful not to get into an unrealistic comfort zone.''
Downer was running his Lower Merion players through their final practice before the big game Friday night against Chester for the District 1 Class AAAA high school boys' championship.
