Two superb, working-man dramas hit British screens this week. Couscous(15) ***** from award-winning French director Abdellatif Kechiche is the storyof Slimane, an elderly immigrant from Tunisia, going for one last shot atbusiness success by opening a fish couscous restaurant on a dilapidated boat inthe port town of Sete, near Marseilles.
The film introduces us to Slimane's family over a magnificent Sunday lunch, ascene with all conversation uttered above the clink of cutlery and betweengulps of grains and fish.
