NEW YORK, Feb. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. (NYSE: AXP) today announced it has signed a worldwide licensing agreement with Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq-NNM: MSFT) to use its software to enhance the security of American Express(R) Card payments on the Internet. On-line transactions with any American Express charge card or Optima(R) credit card will use Microsoft's version of the industry-supported Secure Electronic Transactions (SET) protocol.
