HUGHES AIRCRAFT MTI/SAR SELECTED FOR ARMY RECONNAISSANCE MISSION

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Hughes Aircraft Company's Moving Target Indicator Synthetic Aperture Radar (MTI/SAR) has been selected by California Microwave Inc. for integration with the U.S. Army's Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Multifunction (ARL-M) system.

Two MTI/SAR reconnaissance systems were ordered for integration with the Army's RC-7B aircraft. The MTI/SAR-equipped aircraft will be deployed to fill the gap in surveillance capability that will occur when the Army retires its fleet of Mohawk aircraft later this year.
