Health Evolution Partners, a private equity firm led by David Brailer, M.D., former national coordinator for health information technology, has invested in Prematics Inc., a start-up electronic prescribing software vendor.
Terms of the investment were not disclosed, but San Francisco-based Health Evolution Partners is looking to significantly support health care improvement initiatives. We are selective in our investments and spend considerable time working with portfolio companies, the firm states on its Web site. Consequently, we prefer equity investments in the range of $10 million to $80 million.
