* The Descanso Gardens series Family Fun for Nature Nuts begins with a visit from the Reptile Family (they're like the Waltons but with boa constrictors in their house), who educate and entertain with the help of giant snakes and lizards. Other Tuesday shows include the Animal Guys and their exotic mammals on July 8 and the macaw adventure yarn, "Parrot Tales," on July 22. The Cafe Court opens at 5:30 for BYO picnicking. * At 6:30.
