THE organisers of Larne's two main Ulster Scots events - the four-day Cairncastle festival and the Broadisland Gathering in Ballycarry - are taking to the gateway of the Glens to promote their forthcoming programmes.
A special afternoon will be taking place in Glenarm on Saturday, June 28 to encourage more people from Glenarm, Carnlough and the wider Glens area to learn more about the Ulster Scots culture.
This is the first time the festivals have been promoted in this way in the Glens area and the organising committee has issued a warm invitation to residents from the coastal area to go along and join in the activities.
