WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., June 26 (AScribe Newswire) -- Rocco Mediate's grueling battle against Tiger Woods at this year's U.S. Open should be an inspiration to aging Americans, says a Purdue University professor.
"Rocco's contribution has been as a role model," says Nancy Edwards, associate professor and director of the graduate program at Purdue's School of Nursing. "He did not give up. He fought to the end against a much younger opponent. Rocco's near-win should be a reminder that it is possible to improve our health and live well as we age."
