ANGRY horse-riders have hit out at selfish motorists who are putting their lives at risk.
They claim that drivers are frequently impatient and show a lack of consideration for riders and their animals.
Mrs Julie Madden, of Foxcroft Drive, Rastrick, is an enthusiastic horsewoman and rides most weekends with her eight-year-old daughter Lorna.
"We are forced to use busy roads at times because our horses are stabled off Woodhouse Drive. Increasingly we are noticing that motorists have no idea about how to drive safely around horses.
