FEARS that Brighouse police station is ready to close its doors have been voiced.
A leaked document reveals that Brighouse police station in Bradford Road is among 13 Help Desks ready to be closed in a bid by West Yorkshire Police to save cash.
But campaigners claim it would be a backward step if Brighouse - the second largest town in Calderdale - lost its police station.
On the same day as a police chief was assuring people that the town's police station was not facing cuts or closure a police command team was discussing the closure of the Brighouse Help Desk.
