TWO members of Jesters Stage Academy received the JJ Doheny Memorial Trophies for their achievements as the group celebrated its 10th anniversary with a performance in the Watergate Theatre earlier this month.
The awards are bestowed on two students each year in memory of young JJ, a former Jesters student who passed away unexpectedly in September 2004, and this year the honour went to Shona Lanigan and Lucy Mason.
The 2005 Jesters show "Show Time Tales" was also dedicated to JJ, and it was at that time that Jesters awarded the JJ Doheny Memorial Trophies for the first time. On that occasion JJ's parents, Bernie and Ger, presented the trophies to the ...
