Even if he never had made a movie, Martin Scorsese would have made a difference in Hollywood.
He's tirelessly championed the work of other directors. He's purchased and preserved vintage movie posters and shared that collection with museums. And, perhaps most important, he's promoted the rerelease of movie classics, and helped keep Hollywood's history alive.
Now it's time for Hollywood to return the favor.
