Tiffany's Gold Cross Drugs is closing its store in downtown Eugene next Tuesday after nearly three--quarters of a century in business.
Tiffany's other stores in Florence, Veneta and Bandon will remain open, Dale Engel, president of Tiffany--Davis Drug Co., said Tuesday.
Engel declined further comment, referring a reporter to a letter he sent to the pharmacy's customers.
The letter states that Tiffany's Gold Cross, now located at 960 Oak St., has been in business in downtown Eugene since 1925, and Engel and his wife, Melva, have owned the store for the past 20 years. The letter gives no reason for the closure but ...
