Red mexican grapes have been withdrawn from a chain of supermarkets after a deadly black widow spider was found in Northampton.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the spider was found by a family in Northampton in the town's Waitrose store.
As a precaution, Waitrose pulled the fruit from shelves in case other spiders had entered the country in the same consignment.
Nine-year-old Harriet Barron found the spider - the world's fifth most poisonous - in a fruit bowl in her home.
