MINNEAPOLIS | Twins rightfielder Michael Cuddyer missed Minnesota's game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday night because of a strained tendon in his left index finger.
Cuddyer, a Great Bridge High School graduate, said the injury has been bothering him off and on the past two weeks.
Cuddyer will be evaluated today. He can bend the finger slightly, which he said wouldn't be possible if the tendon were torn.
"I figured it'd just go away," he said. "But I took a swing (Friday) night in my last at-bat and my hand flew off the bat. I woke up this morning and it was worse."
