While there are probably a couple of thousand symphony orchestra conductors in the world the chances of discovering a Palestinian conducting a symphony orchestra chiefly made up of Russian Jews is at best, remote. There is at least one at large but Dr Nabil Azzam, founder and conductor of the Galilee Symphony Orchestra, is almost certainly unique.
