A Minnesota man charged in the fatal stabbing of Joel Marino could not have committed two other unsolved murders in Madison, his father said.
Adam Peterson, 20, a former UW-Madison student, was charged last week with first-degree intentional homicide in the Jan. 28 slaying of Marino, 31.
Marino's death was one of three high-profile unsolved killings to frighten Madison residents in the past year.
