L. Richard Oliker of Manlius, former dean of Syracuse University's management school and an active civic and business leader, died Thursday at age 75.
He had been ill since suffering a massive stroke June 1, according to his wife, Mary Pat Oliker.
Oliker came to SU in 1968 as associate dean. He served as dean from 1976 through 1988.
He was popular with faculty and students, said Dennis Gillen, an SU professor. Oliker's classes were always full, even though they were scheduled at 8 a.m., Gillen said.
