From optimism to pessimism-all in the space of one year. High-net-worth clients, the investors you serve, are increasingly worried about their portfolios and they aren't turning to financial advisors for the answers to their concerns.
That's just one of the conclusions of researchers at The Phoenix Cos., an industry consultant, in its most recent Phoenix Wealth Survey of 1,900 individuals with $1 million or more in net worth (excluding their primary residences). On the issue of waning investor optimism, the survey shows that 50% of respondents expressed "some level of pessimism," up from last year's 30%.
