I Cherish Daily
My blackness is
Something that I
Cherish daily.
I love the way it
Flows
Over my body, covering
Me with the warmth
And passion of a lover's
Embrace.
My blackness gives
Me strength to laugh
At the ignorance of those
Unwilling to understand
It.
My blackness is
Something that I
Cherish daily
It guides me with
Centuries of dark
Glorious wisdom,
Empowering me with
Its energy.
My blackness is
Something I cherish
Daily.
I love the special feeling
