Randalstown enjoys festival fever.

IN spite of mixed weather conditions last week, Randalstown's annual Arches Festival managed to run all their events with the minimum of interruption by the weather.

In fact some events like the Festival Gymkhana were run in unbroken sunshine to the delight of both organisers and participants.

Frank Hurrell, vice-chairman of Randalstown ARCHES Association which organises the festival in conjunction with local groups and volunteers, commented: "We started off with good weather but as the week went on it deteriorated a bit.
