A trucker accused of causing a cyclist's death by dangerous driving has denied seeing or hearing the collision.
Andrew Wayne Stubbs, 40, said he would have stopped had he been aware of a collision with a cyclist.
Leeds Crown Court yesterday heard how bike rider Anthony Spink, 41, tried to tried to jump on the front of the lorry's cab and banged on it to attract the driver's attention. But he went under the wheels.
He died from multiple injuries following the incident at the junction of Ings Road and Charlesworth Way on July 18 last year.
