A depressed disabled man was pulled over by police on the way home from his mother's funeral and found to be more than three times the drink-drive limit.
Christopher Robert Thomas, 52, of Warrior Gardens, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to drink driving on June 18 before magistrates in Hastings this week.
The court heard that he was pulled over at 8.30pm on the seafront at St Leonards and found to have 109 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.
