Power firm pledges [pounds sterling]7,500 for groups.

PREMIER Power, the operator of Ballylumford Power Station, is inviting applications for grants worth up to [pounds sterling]2,500 from community groups in Larne.

The community fund, now in its fourth year, is making three awards of [pounds sterling]2,500 available. This year preference will be given to projects with an emphasis on health.

Henry Coolidge, chief executive of Premier Power, said that the fund provides an ideal opportunity for groups to acquire capital for projects that benefit the local community.
