RESIDENTS of the Craigyhill area "have come to dread" the run-up to the Twelfth because of the bonfire built in the area, it's been claimed.
Rev James Johnstone, minister of Craigy Hill Presbyterian Church, said the bonfire issue "brings immeasurable stress and strain to the residents".
Speaking in the wake of an incident on Sunday night during which the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service had to be called to attend to a blaze at the bonfire site, Rev Johnstone said the whole scenario was an example of why people "dread this time of year which should be a holiday season".
