AN unusual cricket match took place at Alfreton Park last Friday when a team made up of the junior Alfreton sides beat a Mortimer Wilson School teaching staff team by 10 runs.
The Alfreton XI opened the batting and started off well with the first three innings making a maximum of 25 runs each.
The Mortimer Wilson team then hit back with Andy Hale taking an excellent catch.
Alfreton finally posted a score of 124.
The Mortimer Wilson team began their reply well with Hale in top form, hitting marvellous fours and sixes to reach his maximum 25 fairly quickly.
