VILLAGERS in Martin appear to be split over what to do about a family of peacocks who are ruffling feathers.
Percy the Peacock is a well known character in the village and according to locals has been around for at least 14 years.
But last year Percy wooed a peahen and together they started a family - a big family.
John and Sybil Durham, who moved to the village 14 months ago, said the family of peacocks have become a problem.
Mr Durham said it was a novelty at first and they thought it was wonderful to see Percy around, but then he found a mate and now they are inundated.
