World records could become the norm after the International Swimming Federation ruled Speedo's new high-tech LZR Racer suit is legal. Speedo now plans to launch a new range of triathlon gear based on the same technology.
Since it launched in February this year, the LZR Racer swimsuit has already helped its wearers clock up 35 world records. Critics have claimed the swimsuit makes competitors more buoyant and said it was the equivalent of technological doping.
