DataCore Software, a provider of storage virtualization software, announced that its SANmelody software received the UK Storage Awards' "Storage Product of the Year" at the Tower Hotel, London. Voted for by readers of Storage Magazine, the award recognizes the ability of SANmelody to reduce the complexity normally associated with traditional SAN storage--providing cost savings, increased productivity and optimal utilization. At the same ceremony, DataCore Software also scooped the "Green Project of the Year" through their SANsymphony installation at Honda Racing F1 Team, which dramatically improved Honda's overall storage utilization.
