THE former Newton Stewart picture framer arrested over child sex abuse claims has appeared via video-link in court in Northern Ireland.
Wilson Reid (49), who was arrested at his Glebe Crescent home, appeared before Armargh Magistrates Court on Tuesday where he made no plea and was remanded in custody pending further investigations.
Former Scout leader Reid, who is being held in the notorious Maghaberry Prison, is accused of rape, three counts of indecent assault against a male child and one of supplying intoxicating liquor to a person under 18.
