CLARE was the venue for a much-enjoyed open gardens on Sunday, in aid of Clare in Bloom.
Fortunately, the day saw beautiful weather and numbers of guests exceeded expectations and nearly 400 people visited the gardens.
There were a total of 15 gardens open for the event, ranging from a wild plot to a courtyard-style garden.
Ailsa Jobson, clerk to Clare Parish Council, said: "We also had two gardens doing tea, and they made a roaring trade - funds were also raised through the sale of our own plants.
