Athletes meet in small groups.

ANOTHER double header for the females of west Suffolk AC last weekend saw them at Basingstoke on Saturday for the Southern Women's League and at St Albans for an Eastern Young Athletes League fixture on Sunday.

Attendance was very low on Saturday partly as a result of holidays and partly because of the young athletes' match the next day.

Not unexpectedly West Suffolk finished in last place with only 96 points.

They are still left in 11th position in the league and still have a good chance of avoiding relegation.

Having slipped into Division One as the lowest qualifiers, this would be a good achievement.
